The Tivoli Stadium in Aachen officially opened on 17 August 2009 with a German top-flight match between Alemannia Aachen and FC St. Pauli, attended by thousands of football fans. Constructed at a cost of €50 million, Tivoli replaced the old Alemannia Stadium, providing modern facilities for players and supporters alike.
