MECREE A65: Game-Changing Optics, Redefining Stadium Lighting

Not brighter light, but smarter light.

Moving beyond the wasteful conventional approach of “lighting the sky,” the A65 features a game-changing asymmetric micro-lens optical design that precisely directs light onto the playing field. Athletes can look up without distracting glare, while dark zones across the field are eliminated. Spectator areas and the night sky are carefully shielded from unwanted light, achieving zero uplight (ULR = 0).

Every beam is designed for the game—not the night sky.

Full Cut-Off Optics · Zero Uplight

Designed in accordance with DarkSky standards, delivering 0% uplight. Light is precisely confined to the target area, effectively eliminating light pollution and minimizing nuisance to surrounding communities.

Designed to achieve 0% uplight (ULR = 0), while minimizing spill light and glare beyond the playing area.

Exceptional Uniformity · No Dark Zones Across the Field

Featuring a dual-angle light-emitting surface design, the system uses overlapping beams to achieve precise, comprehensive field coverage. Without adding extra poles or increasing pole height, it significantly improves horizontal illuminance uniformity while effectively eliminating the dark zones typically found directly beneath high-mast lighting poles.

Multi-Layer Glare Control · Better Visual Comfort

A three-layer glare-control system works in synergy to provide a comfortable visual environment for both athletes and spectators:

  • Adjustable Visor: Flexible adjustment from 0° to 30° makes positioning quick and easy. It precisely cuts off stray light directed toward the stands and the sky, helping achieve glare-free spectator areas.
  • Stepless Adjustable Mounting Bracket: Locks securely at virtually any angle, enabling precise control of the beam direction and effectively preventing unwanted spill light within and beyond the playing area.
  • Built-in Anti-Glare Louver: Suppresses glare at the source, minimizing direct light entering athletes’ field of vision and ensuring they can track high balls without visual interference.

Professional sports lighting is about more than brightness—it’s about where the light goes. With advanced asymmetric micro-lens optics and multi-layer glare-control technology, MECREE A65 delivers maximum horizontal illuminance coverage while precisely controlling every beam of light. Athletes stay focused on the game, spectators enjoy a more comfortable viewing experience, and the night sky remains clear.

Aerodynamic Design · Reduced Wind Load, Greater Installation Stability

The housing features a streamlined aerodynamic design that effectively reduces the frontal and lateral wind-facing areas, significantly lowering wind resistance. This makes the A65 particularly well suited for high-mast installations and demanding outdoor environments.

A Hidden Advantage Over Conventional Designs:
To control uplight, some conventional designs require large external visors to control uplight, increasing overall luminaire size, wind load and weight. These bulky accessories significantly increase wind load, overall luminaire weight, and transportation costs.

The MECREE A65 achieves precise cut-off through its integrated optical design, eliminating the need for oversized external visors. The result is a naturally more streamlined luminaire with lower wind resistance, reduced structural load, and safer, more stable installation.

Dual Heat-Sink Design · Dual-Path Heat Dissipation for Extended Lifespan

Featuring a zoned thermal management structure, the dual heat sinks provide independent heat-conduction and heat-dissipation paths, significantly enhancing overall thermal performance.

The compact and lightweight design effectively slows LED lumen depreciation and extends the luminaire’s service life, providing reliable long-term performance and stable operation.

Remote Driver Design · Ground-Level Maintenance, Safer and More Efficient

The A65 adopts a remote external driver design, separating the core electrical components from the luminaire and relocating them to ground level. This design delivers three key advantages:

  • Risk-Free Maintenance: When a driver requires replacement, there is no need for elevated work platforms or high-altitude maintenance. Technicians can quickly replace the driver at ground level, significantly reducing maintenance-related safety risks.
  • Lighter Luminaire: By removing the driver from the luminaire housing, the weight at the top of the high mast is significantly reduced. This helps lower the load on the pole and improve wind-load resistance and installation safety.
  • More Flexible Installation: The drivers can be centrally installed inside a control cabinet at the base of the lighting pole, simplifying wiring, centralized management, and on-site installation.

Three installation options to suit different applications:

Individual Remote Installation – One power supply per luminaire, installed nearby for flexible layout and independent control.

Centralized Pole-Mounted Installation – Multiple power supplies housed in a protective enclosure and mounted on the lower or middle section of the pole for easier maintenance.

Centralized Ground Installation – Power supplies installed in a ground-level electrical cabinet for convenient commissioning and maintenance without climbing the lighting structure.
