2018 Turf Renovation: Considering the wear and tear of the football field turf after long-term use and the impact of the tropical climate, the stadium carried out a comprehensive turf replacement project in 2018. The new turf adopted imported professional football field grass species that are resistant to high temperature, humidity and frequent trampling, ensuring the flatness and elasticity of the field, and meeting the requirements of high-level professional matches. At the same time, the drainage system of the field was optimized to solve the problem of water accumulation on the field during the rainy season.
2022 Stand & Supporting Facilities Upgrade: In 2022, the stadium launched a renovation project focusing on the stands and supporting facilities. The old seats in the stands were fully replaced with new anti-slip, wear-resistant and comfortable seats, increasing the seating capacity stability while improving the viewing comfort of spectators. In addition, the stadium’s lighting system was upgraded to LED professional stadium lighting, which enhanced the lighting brightness and uniformity of the field, meeting the requirements of night matches and TV live broadcasts. The public toilet facilities, catering service points and first-aid rooms in the stadium were also renovated and expanded to improve the service capacity of the venue.
2024 Electronic Scoreboard & Sound System Update: In 2024, the stadium completed the update of the electronic scoreboard and sound system. The original traditional scoreboard was replaced with a large-scale high-definition LED electronic scoreboard, which can display match information, player data, real-time scores and other content more clearly and intuitively. The sound system was fully upgraded to a professional stadium sound system with uniform sound coverage, ensuring that the announcements and commentary during the match can be clearly heard by every spectator in the stands.
