Stadion Benteng Taruna is a modern, multi-purpose stadium and the new home of Persita Tangerang. Construction began in 2014 and it was officially opened in 2018, replacing the club’s older, smaller grounds. The name “Benteng Taruna” translates to “Youth Fortress,” reflecting its role as a stronghold for the local team and a venue for developing sporting talent in Tangerang, Banten.
The stadium was built to meet modern standards and provide Persita with a fitting home as they compete in Indonesia’s top football leagues.
As a contemporary build, the stadium incorporates facilities for both football and athletics:
Athletics Track: The stadium is equipped with a 400-meter, synthetic all-weather running track surrounding the pitch, qualifying it to host official track and field events.
Football Pitch: A natural grass playing surface at the center.
Modern Architecture: Features a contemporary design with a partial roof covering the main grandstand and modern spectator amenities.
Capacity: The 30,000-seat capacity positions it as a major sports venue in the Greater Jakarta area, capable of hosting large crowds.

History: As stated, Persita is a historic club that has played numerous seasons in the Indonesian top-flight league (formerly Galatama, Liga Indonesia, now Liga 1), establishing itself as a mainstay from the Tangerang region.
