The GSP Stadium (Greek: Στάδιο ΓΣΠ), commonly referred to as Neo GSP (New GSP), is the national football stadium of Cyprus and the premier sporting venue in the capital, Nicosia. It officially opened on October 6, 1999, replacing the old GSP Stadium that stood on the same site. The acronym “GSP” stands for Gymnastic Club of Pancyprian Gymnasium (Γυμναστικός Σύλλογος Παγκύπριου Γυμνασίου), the historic multisport club that initiated its original construction.
The stadium is uniquely shared by the nation’s two biggest and fiercest rivals, APOEL and Omonoia, and also serves as the home ground for the Cyprus national team, making it the undisputed heart of Cypriot football.
