The Estadio Metropolitano Roberto Meléndez is one of Colombia’s largest football stadiums, located in Barranquilla. The stadium serves as the home ground for Club Deportivo Popular Junior Fútbol Club (Junior) and is also used by the national football team of Colombia for international fixtures. Junior won the Colombian top-flight football league in 1977, marking the first major title in the club’s history.
In 2015, Junior won the Colombian cup tournament for the first time.
