TD Garden is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Boston, Massachusetts. Construction of the venue began in 1993, and the arena officially opened on 30 September 1995 under the name FleetCenter. The total construction costs amounted to $160 million, with completion delayed due to heavy snowfall during the construction period.
The arena has a seating capacity of approximately 18,000, while its ice hockey configuration accommodates around 17,000 spectators. Since its opening, TD Garden has become one of the most prominent sports and entertainment venues in the United States.

The Boston Bruins played their first game at the arena on 7 October 1995, drawing 4–4 against the New York Islanders.
The Boston Celtics played their first game at the venue on 3 November 1995, losing to the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Boston Bruins are one of the most successful clubs in NHL history. They won their first Stanley Cup in 1929, defeating the New York Rangers, and have claimed several Stanley Cup titles since.
The Boston Celtics are the most successful club in NBA history. They won their first NBA championship in 1957 and dominated the league during the 1960s, capturing nine championships in that decade. In 1968, the Celtics became the first NBA franchise to win 10 championship titles, a milestone later matched by the Los Angeles Lakers in 1987.
Larry Joe Bird, widely regarded as one of the greatest basketball players of all time, played numerous matches for the Boston Celtics during his professional career. In the 1980s, he led the team to three NBA championship titles. Larry Bird spent his entire NBA playing career with the Celtics and later became the manager of the Indiana Pacers in 1997.
