Domestic Dominance: The club has won the K League 1 championship a record 7 times (1993, 1994, 1995, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2006), an era of dominance that coincided with the opening of their new stadium.
Asian Glory – 1996 Champions: Their greatest achievement came in 1996 when they won the Asian Club Championship (now the AFC Champions League), defeating Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr. They were the first Korean club to win the modern version of Asia’s premier club competition. They won it again in 2010, cementing their continental legacy.
FIFA Club World Cup 2010: As 2010 Asian champions, they represented Asia at the 2010 FIFA Club World Cup, playing against the likes of Internazionale.
