The stadium provides a state-of-the-art base for one of Indonesia’s historic clubs, Persita Tangerang, which was founded in 1953. After decades of playing at various older venues, Persita moved into Stadion Benteng Taruna upon its completion, giving the club and its passionate supporters a modern home worthy of its long history in the Indonesian top-flight football league (Liga 1).
The integration of the stadium into the PSSI National Training Center complex adds a unique dimension, as it is regularly used for national team training camps, coaching seminars, and youth development programs, alongside Persita’s league matches.

Construction Timeline: Ground was broken in 2014 as part of the development of the PSSI National Training Center. After four years of construction, it was officially opened in 2018.
