Ross-Ade Stadium is an outdoor American football stadium located on the campus of Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. The venue officially opened on 22 November 1924 and has served as the home of the Purdue Boilermakers football team since its inauguration.
Owned by Purdue University, the stadium is one of the oldest continuously used college football venues in the United States. It was originally built to accommodate the growing popularity of college football in Indiana during the early 20th century.
The stadium currently has a seating capacity of approximately 57,000. Its record attendance was set in 1980, when 71,000 spectators attended the rivalry game between the Purdue Boilermakers and the Indiana Hoosiers, one of the most significant matchups in Indiana college football history.
