Little Caesars Arena is a modern indoor multi-purpose arena located in Downtown Detroit, Michigan. Construction of the venue began in 2014, with total costs reaching approximately $862 million. The arena officially opened on 5 September 2017 and is named after the international pizza chain Little Caesars.
The venue serves as the home of the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League (NHL). It is a centerpiece of Detroit’s urban redevelopment and one of the most technologically advanced arenas in North America.

Little Caesars Arena is home to two of Detroit’s most iconic sports franchises. The Detroit Pistons, founded in 1941 under a different name, have won multiple NBA championships and are among the most successful basketball clubs in league history.
The Detroit Red Wings, founded in 1926 under a different name, are one of the most historic teams in ice hockey. In 2002, they became the first NHL club from the United States to win 10 Stanley Cup titles, cementing their legacy as one of the sport’s most successful franchises.
