History and Significance:
King Power Stadium, originally known as Walkers Stadium (2002–2011), is the modern home of Leicester City Football Club, nicknamed The Foxes. The stadium hosts a variety of events including football, rugby union, concerts, and boxing. It officially opened with a match between Leicester City and Spanish side Athletic Club Bilbao, ending in a 1-1 draw, with Roberto Martínez Rípodas (Tiko) scoring the first goal at the venue.
The stadium has also hosted international fixtures, including England national football team matches and three Rugby World Cup games in 2015. The first Rugby World Cup match at the stadium drew 29,000 spectators, with Argentina defeating their opponent. Romania and Argentina also won matches at the venue during the same tournament.

Leicester City drew an average home attendance of 29,000 in their first domestic league season at King Power Stadium. In 2016, the club achieved a historic milestone by winning their first-ever Premier League title, becoming the 23rd club in history to be crowned English football champions.
European Competitions – UEFA Champions League:
On 27 September 2016, King Power Stadium hosted its first UEFA Champions League match, with Leicester City defeating FC Porto 1-0 in front of 31,000 spectators. The stadium also witnessed Leicester City’s second, third, and fourth home victories in the competition, against FC København (Denmark), Club Brugge (Belgium), and Sevilla FC (Spain), respectively, cementing the venue’s role in the club’s European history.
