Pitch & Facilities: Complete relaying of the natural grass pitch and upgrades to player dressing rooms, medical facilities, and media areas.
Spectator Areas: Installation of new seating (in military camouflage green), improved concessions, and enhanced security and access controls suitable for a military-managed venue.
Military Integration: The stadium is integrated with the adjacent Army Training Center, and the facilities are used for military ceremonies and events when not hosting football matches.
Gimcheon Stadium now serves a dual purpose as both a public asset and a professional football fortress.
K League Venue: It hosts all of Gimcheon Sangmu’s home matches in the K League 1 and the Korean FA Cup.
Atmosphere: The atmosphere is distinct, often featuring organized support from both local fans and soldiers in attendance. It is a functional and imposing venue, reflecting the disciplined nature of its tenant.
Community Access: While managed for professional use, it remains available for public events when not in use by the football club or military.
