Gillette Stadium is a multi-purpose outdoor stadium located in Foxborough, Massachusetts, southwest of Boston. The venue officially opened on 11 May 2002 and replaced the former Foxboro Stadium as the home of major professional sports teams in New England.
The construction costs of Gillette Stadium were $325 million. The stadium is named after Gillette, a globally known brand of safety razors and personal care products headquartered in Massachusetts.
