Historic Club: Necaxa is one of the most traditional clubs in Mexico, founded in 1923. Nicknamed “Los Rayos” (The Lightning Bolts) and “Los Once Hermanos” (The Eleven Brothers), they have a rich history.
Domestic Success: Necaxa has won the Mexican Primera División (Liga MX) championship 3 times (1994–95, 1995–96, Invierno 1998). Their dominance in the mid-90s, known as the “Era de los Campeonísimos,” is legendary.
Global Achievement – 2000 FIFA Club World Cup: The club’s greatest international feat was finishing 3rd in the inaugural 2000 FIFA Club World Cup, defeating South American champions Corinthians in the third-place match. This remains the highest-ever finish for a Mexican club in the tournament.
