Estadio Lic. Erico Galeano Segovia is a modern football venue located in the city of Capiatá in Paraguay’s Central Department. Since its opening in 2009, it has served as the home ground of Club Deportivo Capiatá, one of the region’s most competitive clubs. The stadium supports local league matches as well as youth football activities, making it a central sports hub for the community.
In February 2015, the venue officially adopted its current name in honor of Erico Galeano Segovia, a significant local figure and supporter of sports development in Capiatá.
The stadium opened in 2009, built to support the rapid rise of Deportivo Capiatá as they climbed the Paraguayan football pyramid.
Initially designed as a compact neighborhood stadium, it quickly became known for its intense and close-to-the-pitch atmosphere.
In February 2015, the stadium was renamed Estadio Lic. Erico Galeano Segovia.
The renaming marked a new chapter for the venue, aligning with local investments in improving sports infrastructure.
While the stadium is relatively new and modest in size, it became prominent after Deportivo Capiatá reached the Paraguayan Primera División. As a result, the stadium hosted:
Various top-flight Paraguayan league matches.
International-qualification fixtures when the club competed for continental tournament spots.
Although large-scale redevelopment has been limited, several incremental improvements have been made:
Enhanced seating areas to support growing attendance.
Upgrades to player facilities and administrative zones.

Minor safety and structural enhancements aligned with national football federation requirements.
These updates have allowed the stadium to remain functional for professional league competition.
