Estádio Estadual Jornalista Edgar Augusto Proença, commonly known as Mangueirão, is one of the largest and most historic football stadiums in the state of Pará. Officially opened on 4 March 1978, the stadium has served as a central hub for football in Belém for decades.
The venue is the home ground of Clube do Remo, one of Pará’s most traditional football clubs, founded in 1905. Over the years, Mangueirão has hosted countless state championship matches, regional tournaments, and major domestic fixtures, becoming an iconic landmark for fans in northern Brazil.
