Estadio Elías Figueroa Brander is one of the most historic football venues in Chile. Opened in 1931, the stadium is located in the coastal city of Valparaíso, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and has served as the long-standing home of Santiago Wanderers.
The venue is named after Elías Figueroa, widely regarded as one of the greatest Chilean footballers of all time and a three-time South American Footballer of the Year. Throughout its history, the stadium has hosted numerous domestic league matches and regional tournaments.
In addition to its cultural significance, the stadium is closely associated with Santiago Wanderers, the oldest football club in Chile, founded on 15 August 1892. The club has won the Chilean top-flight league multiple times and remains a major icon of Chilean football tradition.
Over the decades, Estadio Elías Figueroa Brander has undergone several modernisation efforts to enhance safety, improve seating standards and update player and media facilities, ensuring it remains a key football venue in the Valparaíso region.
