Carrier Dome, also nicknamed “The Loud House,” is a multi-purpose indoor stadium located on the campus of Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. It serves as the home venue for the Syracuse Orange football, basketball, and field lacrosse teams and is one of the largest domed stadiums in collegiate athletics.
The stadium officially opened on 20 September 1980 at a construction cost of approximately $26 million. Designed to host multiple sports and large-scale events, the Carrier Dome has become a central hub for collegiate athletics in upstate New York.
In 2014, the Carrier Dome set a record for NCAA men’s basketball on-campus attendance, drawing 35,000 spectators for a matchup between the Syracuse Orange and the Duke Blue Devils.
