UEFA Requirements for LED stadium Lighting at UEFA Euro 2024
Project Overview

This is a football stadium located in Europe. The venue can accommodate about 22,500 people. The old lighting system can no longer meet the UEFA lighting standards and faces new LED sports light replacement upgrades and challenges. In the end, our customer installed about 200pcs R580 sports lights 1500Watts, equipped with a DMX dimming system, and all LED lights, music, screens, fireworks, and players to provide the audience with the best event experience.

- Horizontal Illuminance: Minimum of 2000 lux.
- Vertical Illuminance: Minimum of 1500 lux.
- Uniformity: Minimum uniformity ratio (U1) of 0.7.
- Spectator Areas Illuminance Levels:
- Horizontal Illuminance: Minimum of 300 lux.
- Uniformity: Minimum uniformity ratio (U1) of 0.5.

III Color Rendering
- Color Rendering Index (CRI): Minimum CRI of 90 to ensure accurate color representation for broadcasting and in-stadium experience.
- Color Temperature: LED lighting should have a color temperature between 5000K and 6500K to provide a bright and natural light.

IV Flicker-Free Operation
- Lifespan: LED fixtures must have a minimum operational lifespan of 50,000 hours.
